Figment 2 #1 and #2

Sorry once again for the long bout of silence! Allow me to fix that by posting some pages for a project I worked on last year. This was the second Figment story published by Marvel under their Disney Kingdoms line, and I once again colored the 5 issue run. I feel like I really pushed myself on this title, and reached a new level (at the time). I'm still pretty happy with how these turned out! This time, the art was drawn by Ramon Bachs, who did a kick ass job-- and his quasi anime style really informed my coloring style.

Invincible #117

Seems I've been really slacking off on posting Invincible pages, for some reason. Anyway, I refined my approach to colouring this series with this particular issue, and it's pretty much what I used for the next 10 issues. I wasn't really satisfied with how I was handling the previous two, and trying to live up to the legacy of previous colourists on the book really pushed me to try something else. At any rate, I really like how this one turned out, and it was actually pretty hard to pick just 5 pages to share. Lots of different locations and characters-- always good stuff!

Halcyon Alien Creature

More model making goodness! Here's my build of Halcyon's 1/9th scale Alien Creature, from Alien 3. I actually built and hand painted this kit several years ago, but had to stop at the head as I didn't have an airbrush at the time. And so it sat on my shelf for years. I recently decided to dust it off and finally complete it, since I now actually have an airbrush (obviously). I also did a bit of touch-ups and fixed a few things while I was there. ;)

Rocket Raccoon # 9, 10, & 11

Here we go with the last issues of this series. More of the same, except I tried a new technique for the last two issues. Also, these issues constantly changed up the locations, which is always nice. While it was sad to see such a fun book come to an end, it meant I would then be off to new exciting things! I think...

Rocket Raccoon # 7 & 8

It just occurred to me that I never finished posting pages from Rocket Raccoon. Let's do something about that!

So, here are pages from the issue 7 and 8 arc, which was drawn by Filipe Andrade. This was a nice change of pace in terms of colouring. It was also all on an ice planet, which was a lot of fun, and quite different!

Mi-go

I've been binging on Lovecraft audio-books while working lately, and this inspired me to do a little digital painting. It's pretty fun drawing something with little regard to anatomy and other such inconveniences. I might have to do it more. ;)

Now, who wants to travel the aether in a brain cylinder?

MG 1/100 Jesta

Because I'm a big nerd I love giant robots. I also love building models and miniatures. So, when I recently discovered Bandai's Gundam model kits, I naturally crapped myself. I became obsessed with these things, and have since bough and built a few (among other model kits).

This particular kit is the second one I put together, and the first one I fully painted. In fact, I also bought an airbrush just for this task, so this was also my first time with one of those. Talk about trial-by-fire!

Anyway, here are a few pictures of my fully built and painted Master Grade 1/100th scale RGM-96X Jesta. Enjoy!
